Representative Experience

• Served as trial counsel in trials which resulted in jury verdicts for clients, including two seven figure judgements against employers:
  • McNeely v. City of Ashtabula , Case No. 1:00 CV 1589 (N.D. Ohio )(2003).
  • Sadowski v. Philips Medical Systems, Inc., Case No. 477154 ( Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas)(2003).

• Served as trial counsel in damages portion of a race discrimination class action on behalf of a class of more than 200 African-American trade unionists.

• Obtained reversals on behalf of clients as appellate counsel:
  • Leugers v. Pinkerton Investigative Svcs.,Case No. 98-3501 (6th Cir.);
  • Berger v. Mayfield Heights , Case No. 99-4490(6th Cir.);
  • Minnich v. Cooper Farms, Case No. 01-3036 (6th Cir.).
  
  
• Conducted sexual harassment investigations and training in public and private sector workforces.

Industry Experience

• Managed office staff, revised personnel policies, and directed the hiring process for several directors for a non-profit corporation;

• Assisted court-appointed elections officer with international union delegate elections in 17 local unions across Ohio and assisted with elections on-site at local unions;

• Staffed union organizing drives in nursing facilities with 100+ employees, including recruiting employees, researching facilities, industry trends, and financial information.
