Representative Experience - Served as trial counsel in trials which resulted in jury verdicts for clients, including two seven figure judgements against employers:
- Served as trial counsel in damages portion of a race discrimination class action on behalf of a class of more than 200 African-American trade unionists.
- Obtained reversals on behalf of clients as appellate counsel:
- Leugers v. Pinkerton Investigative Svcs.,Case No. 98-3501 (6th Cir.);
- Berger v. Mayfield Heights , Case No. 99-4490(6th Cir.);
- Minnich v. Cooper Farms, Case No. 01-3036 (6th Cir.).
- Conducted sexual harassment investigations and training in public and private sector workforces.
Industry Experience - Managed office staff, revised personnel policies, and directed the hiring process for several directors for a non-profit corporation;
- Assisted court-appointed elections officer with international union delegate elections in 17 local unions across Ohio and assisted with elections on-site at local unions;
- Staffed union organizing drives in nursing facilities with 100+ employees, including recruiting employees, researching facilities, industry trends, and financial information.
